Where to get Tuxedos for your Groomsmen ft. Menguin

Photography: Heidi Lockhart

I'm currently sitting in our wine bar and writing this and actually surprised that I am getting this done! I was master glass polisher tonight, for a art event we were hosting and boy was there a good turn out! I'll let you know when we have our grand opening/rebrand, but feel free to stop by beforehand. Anyway, back to the wine bar and me just sitting here...it's loud and I can hear bits and pieces of different conversations. People are happy  and having fun, so while I'm writing this wedding post, it is actually taking me back! People generally remember if your food and drinks were good at a wedding, but not much else; HOWEVER, if you were dressed poorly, they will note that, but may not notice it otherwise. You get what I'm saying??

Anyway, I wanted Nick's groomsmen to look good, but didn't want them to have to break the bank to do so. Traditionally you have two routes to go with wedding tuxes...you could either buy one and pay a pretty penny (or not and then just have a crappy tux) OR you could waste your time going to a brick and mortar shop, pay an arm and a leg, then wear it for 8ish hours and return it. Nowadays, some people will let their guy just wear one he already has as long as it is within a color palette. This didn't work for my theme of wedding, but I do like it! We had a rather formal wedding, so we chose to go with tuxes. They are classic and will never go out of style. If you have been reading my wedding series, then you know one of my main thoughts was to 1) make it "us", but 2)make it classic to where I wouldn't look back and think OMG that was a wedding that was totally done in 2016.

Because I have been in so many weddings, I understand the cost that comes with them, especially as someone a bridal party member. I wanted our besties to be focused on having fun, not whether or not that would have to get a second job to even participate. Another thing I considered is that not everyone lives in the same place, so a brick and mortar option really wouldn't work, not to mention, it wasn't my first choice.  I did some research and stumbled upon Menguin and I am so glad we did!

Menguin is a suit rental company that is based online and out of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Not only do they have great products, but they also have great customer service. Essentially what happens is you/the bride and groom pick which suiting set they are going to feature. (do this AT LEAST 3-4 months before the wedding date) There are a TON of different options, so I'm sure they have something you will like! Not only do you choose the jacket and pants, but you can also pick things like studs, shoes, and other add ons! Once that is done, you invite all of the people who need to order one. (We had Nick, groomsmen, ushers, dads, my mom's brother, my sister's boyfriend and our officiant in one) Once the invites are sent, they just have to type in their measurements. They can have a tailor do this OR use the step by step directions that Mengiun gives, to do it themselves. (This needs to be done AT LEAST 4-6 weeks prior to the wedding) Now the magic happens! About 10-12 days before the date, the suiting is sent to you! You try it on and either 1) love it or 2) need a different size, tell Menguin, and they ship you the size you want asap. How cool is that? They have 24/7 customer service that ROCK. We had a couple groomsmen slip ups in regard to sizing and they came in clutch. Next just wear it to the event, and ship it back when you're done, with the pre-paid UPS sticker. Awesome, right?! I honestly couldn't believe it.

So, thank you Menguin for making my guys look even better than they already do! Have you ever had a groomsmen fiasco? One time Nick bought the wrong color suit for a wedding in the middle of  no-where...let's just say that is NOT happening if you use Menguin. Happy nuptials!
