I feel like my posting schedule has been all kinds of crazy! I posted last Saturday because of my birthday and Tuesday due to the request date of the post. Then I didn’t post on my normal day of Thursday, as I had posted on Tuesday - a normal no-post day. Somehow I still came out one post ahead and my head has not stopped spinning! Maybe because I’m currently back in Dallas and still feel like I’m on west coast time? Not sure, but I’m sure it isn’t anything a good night’s sleep and some yoga can fix. Last night we got to bed at 2 am Dallas time and I didn’t practice yoga. Back on schedule starting tomorrow!
I guess I normally think of dry skin whenever it is summer or I’m traveling because #airplanes, but honestly, it’s a year-round issue! Winter months are coming and hello, that’s rough on my skin too. I typically get dyshidrotic eczema on my feet and it is super painful and itchy. No bueno. Body lotion is something that I used sometimes, but only when there was an issue. I needed to make it more proactive than reactive in my regimen, so I started searching for a body lotion that was both nontoxic and cruelty-free and luckily found one at Primally Pure. I love it when I find other products a company makes and fall in love with them all over again. I’ve been using Primally Pure for almost 2 years now and am a proud ambassador! Whether you’re already a non-toxic beauty fan or are looking to start incorporating it more into your routine, body lotion is a great place to start. It covers the most surface area on your body, so will therefore have the biggest positive change / impact. I love Primally Pure body butter, because it is rich and luxurious. It literally feels like frosting and an at home spa treatment! That being said, I typically apply it at night as it’s thicker and great to put on before bed. I will use it on my ankles and elbows, etc in the morning though! If I had my perfect scenario, I love to dry brush, shower, then apply body butter. *heart eyes* I use the eucalyptus and lavender body butter, but they make other scents too that also smell amazing. You can check them all out here. When I first tried their body butter I got the 4 oz, but when I re-ordered I purchased the 8 oz. It lasts forever. A little goes a long way!
Wondering why you should consider PP’s body butter and what makes it different? One of its magic ingredients is tallow! It has a lot of vitamins and is a healthy fat for your skin! Think collagen, cell development, and more. Primally Pure did a whole blog post about tallow, which you can read here. So no, this product isn’t vegan, but it is cruelty-free and follows in the steps of our ancestors in using all parts of the animal and not waisting. Sustainability for the win! As we head into fall, consider adding a body butter to your life. Your cracked heels will thank you!! Did I also mention it’s like aromatherapy too? Two birds, one stone!
