Dr. Bronner's Pure Castile Soap Lavender | Skylar Body Arrow Candle | One Love Organics Vitamin C Body PolishPrimally Pure Sea Soak Detox Bath

I've been on the hunt for a cruelty-free and nontoxic body wash for what seems like forever. The first one I tried left me feeling too squeaky. The second one I tried I didn't read the label close enough and I missed the fact that it had fragrance... (by the front label, you wouldn't think it would have it). I had kind of given up, but saw an Instagram ad from Dr. Bronner's and looked more into. BINGO. We have a winner!

Dr. Bronner's is just a really cool brand. I didn't even know what I had found, when I found it! I ordered the lavender for me and Nick and then got the unscented for Dino, as something to bathe him with. I had it laying out on our counter and my parents came over...my dad was like WHERE DID YOU GET THIS?! I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS. Haha. He proceeded to tell me all the cool things about it. Apparently it's something that hikers/campers use? Idk. Like I said...I didn't even know how cool of a product I had found!

Dr. Bronner's was founded in 1948, but the soap making started long before then. We are talking over 150 years and 5 generations of soap making! His packaging is legit the coolest. It shares all of his beliefs - things like helping make a peaceful world. The very mantra is all one - thinking that what you do affects more than just you and you should be considerate. Dr. Bronner's has 6 principles:

  • Work hard! Grow!

  • Do right by Customers!

  • Treat employees like family!

  • Be fair to suppliers!

  • Treat the earth like home!

  • Fund and fight for what's right!

So yeah as if a cool product weren't enough, it's an ethical company that you can feel good about using. But yeah, back to the product...apparently you can use it like 18 different ways?! Not to mention there are 10 different scents, including unscented. I'm really boring and have only used it 2 ways...to wash my body and to wash my dog's...anyone else used it other ways?! Apparently it great for face, body, hair, dishes, mopping, pets, etc. It doesn't have any synthetic detergents, preservatives or foaming agents. Sooo pretty much safe for everything. No wonder people call it magic soap! On their own blog they have a Dilutions cheat sheet about how much soap you need to do what. I will say the soap is pretty watery, so don't squeeze too much. You don't need much when you lather up anyway!

But overall? Yep. I dig it. I read reviews online that people wish it came in a squirt bottle because it is so watery, but the packaging doesn't bother me too much. I'm just honestly glad I found something that wasn't too expensive and actually works! Dr. Bronner's actually has a whole line of products. I haven't tried any of the other ones, so let me know if there's one you think I should try!

P.S. If you're wondering about the other things I featured, here's a bit about them:

The wine - a yummy tempranillo ;) (haha, would link if I could!)

Skylar Body Arrow Candle - This is the perfume I wear. Read more about it here!

One Love Organics Vitamin C Body Polish - I use this on areas that get hard bumps, like the back of my arms and thighs. Works like a charm! Read my brand review of One Love Organics here.

Primally Pure Sea Soak Detox Bath - I'm currently obsessed with this! Yesterday I did yoga and finished the day with a detox bath and it was AMAZING. Seriously so relaxing. Read more about the Primally Pure brand here. You can get 10% off w/code ELLEMULENOS.
