Soooo I'm not doing a v-day post this year (gotta switch it up!), but if you want some seasonal theme, here's a Valentine's look, in addition to my valentines gift guide, for you people who need last minute ideas! I also shared a valentines day outfit idea that is perfect for a date or evening with your besties! If you want to real life, here's a post sharing My Love Story + Proposal and here's one called Date Someone Who Makes You Better. You can also read our wedding vows here and see what we learned in our first year of marriage, here! For those not interested, I'm hoping this red background is enough to get you in the loving spirit;)

Earlier this week, I shared a post called Black Jeans for Work. They seriously are my answer to what to where to work when I don't know what to wear, or want to be comfy chic. A wardrobe life saver that you should for sure have in your closet! Well ladies (and gentleman), this black denim skirt is my answer to the black jeans, but for the summer months, well really all months, considering you can wear OTK boots, flats, sandals...anything really!

The a-line silhouette is my skirt of choice, because it is trendy and cute, while still being professional in length and overall style. I have a similar denim version that I posted several weeks ago and it has the same cut, just a little different decoration. I wear that one to work as well! Now, this black skirt is in fact denim, but like I mentioned in my black jeans for work post, I can get away with wearing black denim on a normal work attire day, not just casual Friday. If you like this skirt, but you don't think it's nice enough for work because it is denim, check out this olive button up skirt I styled 3 ways for y'all the other day.

Priced under $100, this skirt is a STEAL. The quality is great; however, the best thing is that it can be styled for anything - church, brunch, date night, work, you name it! Versatility at its finest! It also comes in a traditional denim version, so snag that one as well! Do you have a favorite skirt that you can wear to anything and with anything? In my opinion, Madewell is the king of that! If this is out of your price range, consider saving up for it. I find that items I love, I obviously wear more. In turn the nicer items last longer and the cost per wear decreases.  There's nothing wrong with finding something cheaper, just know that in the long run, you can actually come out ahead if you shop with versatility and quality in mind, not just style. Happy Styling! XOXO
