I’ve done several San Francisco Posts, but clearly not enough. Guessss I have to keep going back field research for more content;) One of my favorite things about SF is the amount of food that you have access to. I do mean quantity of restaurants, but mostly I mean all the different styles of cuisine and different levels of cooking. Last I checked, SF beat out NYC for the most 3 star Michelin awards in the United States. Not that you can dine at those every night while on vacation, but still! It's a cool fact. There are also plenty of 1 star awards in the city as well.
Anyway, when looking back through all of my San Francisco post, I realized I hadn't done a food and drink post. Why?! I feel like this is often the hardest thing to decide on, so why not help you out? I actually did a Where to Eat and Drink in New York City post last year. I switched up my format a bit, so you'll have to tell me which you prefer.
WHERE TO DRINK:
Absinthe Brassiere and Bar
Buena Vista (go here for an Irish Coffee)
Forgery (our Napa favorite Plumpjack has its hand in this!)
Sightglass (best place for coffee + killer pastries)
WHERE TO EAT:
Anchor Oyster Bar
Dolores Park Cafe
Dottie’s (go here for brunch)
Flour and Water
Mr. Holmes Bakehouse (more than just an Instagram worthy spot!)
Sons and Daughters*
The Mill (all the toast of your dreams!)
The Slanted Door
Tony's Pizza Napoletana
Vive La Tarte
Woodhouse Fish Co
*,**,*** denotes Michelin Star(s)
Do you have any favorites that I didn't list? Let me know! For our past several trips, I haven't been good about making reservations and I need to get better about it! Let me know where you love to go, in the comments below!
