If you're new to LMents of Style, then you probably don't know that I have a favorite word. A buzz word if you will, for buying clothes. It is  versatile! When I shop I like to make sure the piece offers plenty of versatility so I can get enough bang for my buck. Every so often, I like to put my money where my mouth is and actually show y'all how I style things differently and for different occasions.

This time around I chose this  Madewell Station Mini Skirt . I've always liked skirts, but I am especially loving them right now, because they are so applicable to my lifestyle right now. I can wear this to work, to church, on the weekend, on a date, you name it! It's also pretty seasonless. Wear it in the summer with sandals and into the fall with tights and boots. I love the length because it isn't too short and the silhouette is flattering as well. I have to watch out for skirts/dresses that hug my backside, because it instantly looks like I'm heading to da club instead of to the office.

So. let's dissect my stylings:

1) Madewell Central Shirt in Pure White | Madewell Station Mini Skirt | Kendra Scott Olive Long Necklace in Gold | Lawless Soft Matte Liquid Lipstick in Brad | Madewell The Frances Loafer

First of all, everyone needs this white shirt. It is SO good. I actually have it in chambray too. This is kinda like my weekend look. Imagine it with little brown sandals, or even flat leather over the knee boots to make it look more fall, even when it doesn't feel like fall yet. It's just easy, breazy, and chic.

2) Abercrombie and Fitch Classic Denim Shirt | Madewell Station Mini Skirt | Kendra Scott Olive Long Necklace in Gold | Lawless Soft Matte Liquid Lipstick in Brad | Vince Camuto Kardina Over The Knee Boot

This is kinda my work version. You could also pair it with a nicer blouse, but the one I wanted to use in this instance looked like the last stying in chiffon, so no for the sake of showing different looks. I love a good chambray shirt, because you can make it nicer or just pair with itself...more denim!

3) Loft Striped Shirt (older version, so I linked their new version instead) | Madewell Station Mini Skirt | Kendra Scott Olive Long Necklace in Gold | Lawless Soft Matte Liquid Lipstick in Brad | Vince Warren Slip Ons

This is probably my favorite because it is most outside of my comfort zone. My friend Eric told me I looked Parisian and I took that as a compliment! Everyone needs a pair of slip on sneakers and these are the most comfy and don't give blisters!! I like this look because you can walk all over town and still look cute/not sloppy.

Ā

Which is your favorite? Would you have styled it another way? One way I didn't show it was with black, which always looks chic. I especially think it would look good with tan/brown boots. Kinda mad at myself for not showing it her. I guess that means another post is in store. Happy styling!!
