Stop. I know what you're thinking... "um, Lauren I don't know where you work, but that midriff is NSFW." Yes, I know! One of the takeaways I hope you get from this post is that it's important to shop with versatility in mind. When you do, you'll find your closet gets your further and you'll be shopping smarter.
In today's day and age, there are a lot of pieces that work for the office and the weekend, if you style them right! If you want to see this skirt paired in a more office friendly way, check out this post where I paired it with boots and a cardigan and this post, where I styled it with a pretty blouse. That was last year's hue from the n-sale, but it's the same skirt and the length is perfect. Not too short -not too long. For reference, I wear a size 29 - there's no stretch in the skirt.
This skirt is by BlankNYC - they are known for their suede perfection. I was kind of disappointed by the selection this year, mainly because they decreased their assortment of traditional suede jackets, but they did add a suede shift dress, which I actually styled for you here. Overall their line is pretty fall work-chic friendly! I live and die by their moto jackets. If you don't have one of them in your arsenal, they are a staple piece and worth every penny!
