Wow, you guys. 2017. Part of me is like it's over already?! and the other part of me is like "is it over already?!" Needless to say, I'm excited for 2018! Working in the fashion, I'm never sure what year it is. In my world, 2018 has wrapped and we are working on 2019 styles, so I kind of can't believe it's finally 2018!
I ended 2016 with a year in review and I really liked that, so I thought I'd do it again, because 1) it's fun to look back and remember things, especially in years to come and 2) it's a great exercise to recount your blessings and highlights. I encourage you to do this if you journal, or maybe just in a word document! Anyway, here's my 2017 year recap!
January.

We rang in the new year with some of our best friends by attending Beats and Bubbly, a Dallas NYE party, then brunched it out the next day.
February.
Wildfox Chips and Salsa Diet Sweatshirt
This month Cat had to be hospitalized for a couple days, because she ate some lily pollen. It was SO scary, but it started a lifestyle change for me. (I spoke briefly about that here) I began researching non-toxic household products, which has lead to that transcending into my make-up and beauty products! I'm still working on this, in addition to using cruelty free products. I'll do a blog post when I have figured out everything I love! We were supposed to go to Laguna Beach this month, but it got cancelled due to horrific thunder storms.
March.

We went to Napa and it was glorious. (see my trip recap + wine tasting tips here) I'm already trying to plan our trip for 2018! It was also the month of my rebrand! I transitioned from Southern Elle Style to LMents of Style! I alsooooo legally changed my name! (finally ;) ) If you're overwhelmed with changing your name, check out this post!
April.

This month marked Cat's 1st birthday! It's also the month we got our 2nd cat Elliot. This month, we went to Seattle. We LOVE the PNW, plus all of Nick's extended family lives there, so it's two birds, one stone. You can see all of my Seattle blog posts here!

One of my cousins got married this month, and the next day we went on our our Laguna beach trip that was supposed to be in February. It was my first time on one of Nick's company wide trips, as spouses are allowed to come! I had never been to Laguna Beach beach before and mannnn was it dreamy! See all my Laguna Beach posts here.
July.

The hottest of the hot in Texas, or so I thought! I got some extra days off at work surprisingly, we went to West Palm Beach for 4th of July! It was fun, because I honestly hadn't been to anywhere in Florida besides Orlando. See all of our Palm Beach favorites, here. Nick's birthday month! I took him to Fayetteville, Arkansas, because he loves Onyx coffee and it's roasted there. Blog posts to come! I was also in one of my best friend's wedding, in Fort Worth! We celebrated Thanksgiving here with my family.
December.

We celebrated Christmas in Seattle, with Nick's family. It was my first Christmas away from my immediate family. We also both experienced our first red eye flight. Not our favorite to say the least;)
