If you had to pinpoint a catch phrase that I probably use too much, it's "that's so versatile" or "I'm all about versatility"...but I really am! It's something I always look for when shopping. I recently did a "The Art of Versatility: Gingham Top 3 Ways" Post and it was very well received, so I thought I'd do it again!

This lace dress may seem like more of a splurge than a steal, with its $100 price tag, but it's made well and can be dressed up or down. So here goes! (everything is linked under each set of photos)

1) I paired it with studded sandals and some fun earrings - I would easily wear this combination to work. If you aren't able to wear open toed shoes or show your shoulders at the office, just swap for some studded flats, and add a cardigan! This dress is professional, yet an okay amount of trendy for the workplace.

2) I paired with ankle strap sandal heels and a nude clutch, with more formal gold accessories. I'd don this to a fall wedding. This might fall into your "work" category, but not mine. It's definitely a good option for a non black tie evening.

3) I paired it with flat booties, leather accessories, and a denim jacket. This is obviously the most casual  option, which is really good to any occasion, other than the two above. I could easily swap out my booties for my cowboy boots and wear this look to a country concert, or even out dancing.

I feel like that at first glance, this only seems like a 1 dimensional dress, but it really has much more to offer! When you shop for versatile items, you can spend a little more on them, because in most cases, that gives your clothing a longer lifespan. Let's shop smarter, people! Who is with me?

Which was your favorite styling? Do you shop for versatile pieces like I do?
