Happy December, friend! Here we are at the intersection between fall and winter. Where everything gets busy, but fun and sometimes exhausting. I’m currently writing to you from New York City! I’m here on a sister trip to bee-bop around town and experience New York at Christmas. I have been for Thanksgiving, but never in December. Don’t worry - a full trip recap will come. Until then, I wanted to share a few of my favorite things with you.

Keep reading to see what they are and why. Oh and don’t forget to treat your friends and family this holiday season. If you need some help, here’s my gift guide that is mostly around $50 or less.

  1. Sam Edelman Laguna Waterproof Boots. I have had my eyes on these since last season, but didn’t have a reason to buy them. When I saw rain was in the forecast for our New York trip, I knew I couldn’t lug my tall Hunter boots around. I started searching for a more practical option and these popped up on sale! They come in a lot of colors, but I went with the cognac frontier suede. Such a practical boot, even more so that it is waterproof. It’s a little hard to get on, but other than that, no complaints. I found it runs true to size. It was perfect to wear around New York City and I will continue wearing them all winter.

  2. Buru Slim Fit Shirtdress. I love the Buru brand and I thought this dress would be perfect for the holidays, but also for Valentine’s Day and even July 4th. For winter it would be so cute with an oversized sweater layered on top. There is also a shirt version and a black dress version too.

  3. Black Cake by Charmaine Wilkerson. I was so taken by this book. It has love, adventure, drama, adversity… a little something for everyone, yet its own unique book. Definitely pick it up to read - I don’t want to give away too much!

  4. Primally Pure Holiday Candle. Primally Pure only releases candles once year and it is right after Thanksgiving. This year they not only released their holiday candle, but also released a crisp smoky woods candle and a warm citrus spice candle. They smell so good and don’t give me a headache. Snatch one up before they sell out and use coupon code ELLEMULENOS for 10% off.

  5. Jouer Luminize Dark Circle Eye Masks. I bought these to try out because they have some properties my other favorite eye masks don’t have. They are so pretty with their gold foil and would make a great little goodie for a friend. They are individually wrapped, so you could even break apart the pack and gift them separately. They are actually on sale right now for $21, making each mask $3.50 pre-tax and shipping. Comparing them to my other favorite eye masks, my 100% pure ones are naturally colder, though you can fix that by putting the Jouer ones in the freezer. The main ingredient difference is that the Jouer ones have Niacinamide which helps minimize pores, soften fine lines, and diminish dullness.

  6. Primally Pure Holiday Lip Balm Trio. I love Primally Pure lip balm in general and this holiday version is just the best. My favorite is the gingerbread, but the candy cane is good too. Mocha is a fun one as well. If you want to try them and they are sold out, they always have peppermint and creamsicle is my favorite! Use discount code ELLEMULENOS for 10% off.

  7. Quince Baby Cashmere Fisherman Tunic Sweater (c/o) This is the same brand as the set I mention as my own cashmere set. They are so cozy and cute on the twins. I shared a video of me and Olive in them here. I’d love to get a couple more and stitch their monogram or names into them.

  8. Juju and Stitch Baby Sweatshirt. (c/o) These are cute kid versions of my sweatshirt. Olive has her name with an open heart and Cyprus has his name with a lightening bolt. Note that if I did these again, I would only do the light purple on the darker grey as it doesn’t show up very well on the light grey. Such great keepsake pieces that any family will appreciate! If you aren’t sure what to do, you can always gift a gift certificate to the family and let them decide the font, color, and design.

  9. Juju and Stitch Crew Neck Sweatshirt. (c/o) The sweetest sweatshirt! I got “mama” and a heart stitched at the neck and then “Cyprus and Olive” with hearts on the cuff.

  10. Quince Mongolian Cashmere Fisherman Pullover Hoodie and Quince Mongolian Cashmere Straight Leg Pants (c/o). I am living in this set right now. I first shared it with you here. I love to wear the sweater with jeans, but wear matching cashmere pants around the house. It’s honestly nice enough to run errands in though. I always get compliments on it! I got a S top and a M bottom.
